DESCRIPTION:The RYA Day Skipper Theory course is  delivered over 8 Tuesday evening sessions and a weekend (approximately 40 hours total)\, making it ideal for working professionals. This comprehensive classroom-based course covers essential navigation and seamanship knowledge needed for coastal cruising. You’ll learn chartwork\, position fixing\, pilotage\, tides and tidal streams\, meteorology\, collision regulations\, safety procedures\, and passage planning. The course uses practical exercises with real charts and navigation tools to develop confidence in plotting courses and making navigational decisions. No previous experience is required\, though basic sailing knowledge helps.
